ECOLISE members and partners across Europe are engaged in a wide range of projects that support Communities for Future.

These projects are helping to:

  • better understand the role and contribution of communities
  • identify and share stories and good practices
  • build capacity and develop new tools to support Communities for Future activities
  • contribute to developing and improving policy at all levels.

BLended Adult Learning for the Social-ecological Transition – Strategic Partnership 2019-2021


BLAST enables educators and facilitators to deliver transformative learning opportunities to people who are change-makers in the social-ecological transition.

BlAST combines experiential place-based learning, through immersion in community-led initiatives, with online opportunities for exchange and peer learning.

Community Climate Coaches (CCC)– Strategic Partnership 2021-2023


Community Climate Coaches is an exciting project that aims to develop a system to train, support and enable Community Climate Coaches across Europe. 

During the project 80 people will be engaged  in personal CCC training . A further 400 will attend CCC events in person and online. Dissemination activities across the partnership’s extensive  network will benefit many thousands of people by giving them access to and use of the CCC project outputs online.

52 Climate Actions (2017-2020 and beyond)

52 Climate Actions presents 52 of the most effective climate actions that can be taken by individuals and communities in the Global North. It’s 52 actions because it’s one for each week of the year. The chosen actions are powerful, realistic, up-beat and fun.

UrbanA – Arenas for Sustainable and Just Cities (2019-2021 and beyond)

UrbanA synthesizes and brokers knowledge for sustainable and just cities and translates it into action. It facilitates interaction among diverse participants, and empowers them to apply this knowledge about just sustainable cities locally. It also aims to influence policies in favour of sustainable and just cities.
