Free Earth Generation, democratic participation by and for youth (18-30 years old)

Free Earth Generation, democratic participation by and for youth (18-30 years old)
September 23 is the international day of 'Sustainable communities'.
The Free Earth Generation festival; sustainable living.

The event is for and by young people aged 16-30; and everyone who cares about this theme. It is in Dutch and we can translate in English and German when you need this.

On Saturday, September 23, the Free Earth Generation festival will take place from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM at the eco-community LiberTerra Geestmerambacht Wagenweg 24-44 in Koedijk in the Netherlands.

Be inspired at this event that is all about sustainability: healthy food, preventing waste, consciously dealing with your living environment. Join the discussion with politicians and policymakers about how we can live more sustainably. Learn how tiny houses are built, attend workshops on sustainable living and community building. Learn about food forests and sustainable construction and design and how you too can make a difference.

Councilor Jasper Nieuwenhuizen (whose portfolio includes Housing, Public Space, Education, Youth and Youth Care), and a young person associated with the project will open the festival in a creative style.
This is the symbolic kick-off of the day.

The event is for and by young people aged 16-30; and everyone who cares about this theme. Are you a policymaker, politician, involved citizen... nice that you come and talk to young people!

For and by young people
The festival is part of a project around the democratic participation of young people, to give a voice and learn the tools and skills to make a (sustainable) contribution to society. This event is organized for and by young people and is connected to, among others, Duurzaam Dijk and Waard for the Global Goals.
It is funded by the EU Erasmus+ program, European Day of the Sustainable Communities of Ecolise, a subsidy from the municipality of Dijk en Waard and the SDG Action Week.

The festival starts at 11:30 AM and ends at 10:00 PM. A ticket costs €11.20.
The visitor receives two vouchers for this that can be spent at the food truck. Come by bike if possible.

If you come by public transport, your travel costs will be reimbursed if you have a train/bus ticket.
