This session is organised within the Smart Rural 27 project. It is intended for all stakeholders interested to learn more about the Green Deal and Smart Villages from a practical point of view. The key question addressed is : How can European Green Deal, Farm to Fork & Biodiversity strategies support the emergence of Smart Villages? Localisation of the European Green Deal has been discussed at different occasions in terms of how rural communities can contribute to achieve the Green Deal goals, we would like to go further in the reflection and see what is the potential of Smart Villages to support the Green Deal, Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies and how can the Green Deal related interventions support the emergence of Smart Villages. At this event we will present the initial findings of the research done within the Smart Rural 27 project on ‘Smart Villages contribution to the European Green Deal, Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies’, prepared in partnership with Ecolise, including presentation and discussion on relevant local practices and policy interventions.
