Training: How to Organise & Facilitate a ONCE YOU KNOW Film Screening

If you’d like to organise a screening of the film Once You Know for #EDSC2022, and want some support to facilitate a powerful and impactful post-screening discussion, don’t miss this session on Tuesday 30 August at 5pm CEST!

Charlotte Ogier, trained facilitator of the Work That Reconnects and creator of Once you know’s post-screening experience, will take you through the facilitation guide and answer all your questions so you can be prepared for D-Day :)

Policy Consultation Process Kick-Off 28 September

Policy Consultation Kick-Off: Transformational regional and local development policies with communities at the centre

It’s time to bring a stronger voice of community-led initiatives into EU policy. Through joint policy positioning with partners, we aim to make our voices even stronger and trigger conversations about the role of communities and policies/politics when it comes to transformational systemic change.

We invite you to join a consultation process on a policy paper baseline, starting on Wednesday 28 September 3 – 5 pm CET (online) and lasting until 1 November.

Consortium building phase: Citizen engagement and participation at EU level (Call expected early 2023)

An upcoming call for EU funding is expected to be announced in early 2023 within CERV - the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme. While the details of the call haven't been published yet, now is a good time to start building a consortium. The 2022 call for proposals covered themes such as: citizens' democratic participation, disinformation and media literacy, as well as climate and the environment. The expected impact is to boost citizens' awareness of their rights and values and create the conditions for a stronger bottom-up approach and more inclusive policy-making process.

Applications for sub-grant to deliver Climate Outreach training

ECOLISE, through the SPARK project, wants to fund 5 Climate Outreach training sessions to be delivered by its members, taking place from 1st October 2022 to July 2023. Some examples of topics you can cover are: Just Transition, Youth, Communication, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Ecofeminism. If you have an idea of a training or are already preparing one and would like to get some funding please fill in this form. Deadline 20th of September 2022.

Survey: Supporting sustainable rural development

The Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable Resource management (ACR+) and partners, as part of the OREN project, has developed a survey addressed to rural entrepreneurs to identify the main barriers and challenges that they face in their everyday work, and the needed skills to foster a rural sustainable business. These include entrepreneurs in renewable energies, tourism, agriculture, circular economy, cultural heritage, and more. The survey is available in English, French and Dutch until the end of August.

The Rights of Mother Earth and Nature in Latin America

This event is part of the Abya Yala in Transition series and will take place on the 24th August. Human beings and nature are connected and part of a single fabric. Increasingly, across Latin America, initiatives are successfully strengthening the rights of nature to sit on the same level as human rights. Hear from a diverse group of people from Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Mexico, who are promoting the recovery of balance between humans and nature. Find out more and register here.
