The heart of Communities for Future is its community. A diverse and growing network of movements, organisations and individuals working together on regeneration, social transformation and sustainability across europe. 

We are enabling the collaboration, interconnection and mutual support among them through: 

1 – THE DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION, AND SUPPORT OF COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE

Groups of practitioners working together on key areas, such as energy, food, education, cities, or governance. Sharing experiences, learning, and supporting each other. Some ongoing Communities of Practice part of Communities for Future are:

UrbanA CoP

One aim of UrbanA is to establish a Community of Practice of people who share a passion for sustainable and just cities.

Participants, fellows and team members are all part of the UrbanA community, as well as individuals and groups engaging with UrbanA events and resources. In fact, if you are interested in just and sustainable cities you can easily become part of it too!

Reconomy CoP

REconomy is a reimagining of how we can meet our needs, create livelihoods and jobs in ways that are inclusive, socially and ecologically regenerative, fair and resilient. Before joining this community of practice please ask yourself: what role do I play in supporting this kind of economic change? Are you an entrepreneur or consultant, network weaver, ecosystem cultivator, facilitator, learner… or how would you name your role?

Municipalities in Transition CoP

The Municipalities in Transition core team is creating a community of practice with a wider membership composed by members that have a common interest in Municipalities in Transition project.

Transformative Education CoP

The Transformative Education Community of Practice is a transnational Community of practice (CoP) of ECOLISE members, who work together on transformative learning for the Social-ecological transition.

2 – THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS COMMUNITIES FOR FUTURE PLATFORM

The development of this Communities for Future Platform, an online participatory ecosystem with features like group discussions, forums, mapping, harvesting information, searching, and much more.
