I have written a short guide to using the platform. Please let me know what you think.
Welcome to the Communities for Future platform.
With the platform we aim to facilitate collaboration among those involved in community-led action on climate change and sustainability. It includes both private and public spaces. We have created it using open source technology. Please read our Community Guidelines
Fill in your profile
You can set your basic profile under Profile Settings. By clicking on the coloured squares you can add an avatar profile, your social networks and a profile cover. Go to Widget Settings to add more information about yourself.Set your notifications
Go to Account Settings to set the notifications you would like to receive.Join a Group or Groups
Once you have registered, go to Groups (Click on the Collaborate tab and the dropdown See our groups) and choose which group/s you would like to join. Groups are either public or private. Once you have joined a group you can connect with others by clicking on the Add Friend buttonSee all members
You can find all members here (Click on the Collaborate tab and the dropdownEngage on the Forum/s
The Forums are where you can collaborate with other members of a group. You can access a forum from within a group. You can invite others to join a group but only if they are already your friend. You can write posts and share links. You can share media by clicking on the Media button (WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO) You can find all the Forums here (Click on the Collaborate tab and the dropdown Find Forums)Send Messages
You can send messages to others who are registered on Communities for Future.Create Events
