All-island Schools 4 Climate Action: Teacher/Student Conference

September 14 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm CEST

All-island Schools 4 Climate Action is a programme aimed at enhancing environmental education in schools across the island of Ireland, whilst also enabling students to create change in their communities through campaign and social action training.  It is a joint initiative by Co-operation Ireland, Alison – the Empowerment Platform, EcoEd4All and the Education Authority of Northern Ireland.

This programme is the first of its kind on the island of Ireland to connect schools on a cross-border basis, to enhance environmental education in the school curriculum and take action action to address the climate emergency.

A conference will take place in Dublin in September 2022, which will connect 20 schools from across the island of Ireland, each of whom will commit to delivering environmental science lessons to pupils, focusing on topics like climate change, biodiversity, water, energy and sustainable transport.  Schools will also be supported to plan and deliver social action projects starting in January 2023.
