CMA CGM Holland Clean Up Day

This time it will be a joint venture, CMA CGM will go Plastic Fishing for a double good cause. We will link a fundraise event to this World Cleanup Day. For every participant CMA CGM will donate EUR 30 per person to the Maritiem Museum and sponsor the renewal of the Professor Splash exposition, which is all about the future of the sea, regarding ocean pollution and the energy transmission.

We will collect waste around the museum which will be donated to Plastic Whale Foundation, this organization will recycle our waste and make furniture of it. We will split the group this time; half of the group will pick waste together around the Museum on the waters and the other group will pick waste on land. The Leuvehaven is the oldest dug harbour in Rotterdam and was dug in 1604. The Maritiem museum has royal roots and will celebrate its 150 anniversary in 2024.
10.00 – 10.15 Welcome by Maritiem Museum & Plastic Whale
10.20 Plastic Fishing 50% group (on waters) + Waste picking 50% group (on land)
11.05 Switch of the groups
12.00 Back at the Museum
12.00 – 12.20 Closing of Waste pick event – hand out lunch packages – prices
12.20 – 12.30 Thank you of Museum
13.15 Visit the museum (not mandatory)
Equipment like waste pickers, gloves, bags, drinking water and snacks will be provided. It is also safe for children to join and accessible for people with disabilities. Like previous events your partner, family, children are welcome too. This will make it even more fun!
PS It will be best if you travel to the museum by bike or public transport, however should you come by car, there are several Q-Parks nearby the museum. If you park at the P+R Kralingse zoom, parking is free there if you continue your journey by public transport.
