Greenpeace Beach Clean at Bowling Harbour

September 24, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm BST

In the run up to COP26 in Glasgow, we’re taking action by cleaning the beach at Bowling Harbour. The Clyde is an inland estuary, with salt water, connected to the oceans. So as part of our Protect The Oceans Campaign, we’ve been organising beach clean ups here for the last few years.

There will also be an opening at the harbour of one of their green projects, the Bowline inspired by New York’s Highline garden bridge. It’s a cycle way over an old rail bridge in West Dunbartonshire that connects the cycle path between Glasgow and Loch Lomond and we’re so excited for anything that makes our local area greener, better for walkers and cyclists.

You can get to Bowling by train, bus, bicycle or kayak.

We’ll provide litter pickers, gloves and bags. But please wear sensible clothing and bring some water and snacks. Families and dogs welcome.

This is a part of our campaign, Lead The Way. We’re calling on Boris Johnson to drop hypocritical policies like fossil fuel licences, ocean and forest destruction and cuts to foreign aid budgets. Sign the petition here.
