Wee Manifestos from times of Climate Emergency

September 18 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm BST

Free

A participatory public art work, in which members of a disabled led collective ‘DayDream Believers’ in Aberdeen connect across distances and differences to come up with their wee collective MANIFESTO.

What is happening? What do you want to be happening? What are you remembering? What are you forgetting? What are you hoping? What kind of a world do you want?

Conceived during the current COVID19 outbreak and ahead of the COP26 in November 2021, this project aims at creating a gathering space to reflect on what is happening, how we are living, and how we want to continue. This task will be undertaken in small groups of 3 to 4 with members of the disabled led collective taking active part, with each event generating a Manifesto for the future created through collective brainstorming. Using consensual modes of group decision-making that seek to foster cohesion rather than divisions, ‘MANIFESTOS from times of Emergency’ asserts a politics of being in commonality.

The results of the collective manifestos will be disseminated thereafter.
